Any man or boy can be raped or sexually assaulted regardless of their age, size or strength.

Within society men often have the belief that they are expected to be strong, to be able to defend themselves and for this reason many guys often blame themselves for any abuse they experience.

Sometimes, they’ll even turn the anger on themselves and apportion blame personally for not preventing what happened.

Sexual abuse is about power and control and most abuse of this kind is perpetrated by heterosexual men. Unfortunately, because of our society’s taboo about male rape and sexual assault, it is rare that men go to the police or seek immediate help.

Sexual violence is not connected to your sexuality but men in gay relationships or those who are having sexual relations with men may also experience rape and abuse.

Our highly trained team of support workers and counsellors will provide the support you need if you’re a man or boy who has experienced sexual violence of any kind at any point during your life. We don’t want you to suffer in silence; we’re here to help and will do so confidentially.
